There are vineyards on the Biltmore Estate, and the produce a wide variety of wines. Some of the wines are made from grapes grown on the estate, while other varieties use grape juice obtained from various vineyard across the country.
Many California grape growers sell unfermented juice to wineries across the country. Not all areas of the country are suitable to grow vinifera grapes, so this works to produce good wine.
