This is one of many memorials in a park-like setting outside of the Air Force Museum.  This one commemorates those pilots who flew over the Himalayas in the China, Burma, India Theater in WW II.

We had some time on our hands after spending our first night in Dayton, OH.  I had visited the National Air Force Museum over 50 years ago, and decided to visit again before heading off to Michigan.  The museum has grown over the last 50 years and is well worth a visit if you're in the Dayton area.  You could easily spend a couple of days here and not see everything.  Warning!  Photos of airplanes will be featured in the coming days.
