  1. Hi Ed, thank you for continuing your antique tractor series. The Farmall H is similar to the Oliver 66, but slightly heavier and slightly more powerful. It also used 2 14" plows. They were built in Rock Island, Illinois from 1939 to 1954. They has a four cylinder 2.5 liter motor that started on gas, and switch to cheaper distillate or Kerosene when warm. It has 24 drawbar HP, and a sliding six speed transmission, 5 forward, and one reverse. During the war years they had steel wheels, and 5th gear was locked out. This was due to the shortage of rubber during the war. This was the tractor I grew up around.
