Things are happening quickly now. This picture was taken on April 9, just slightly less than two weeks after the slab was poured. While we're encouraged to stop by and see what's going on and to take pictures, we're limited to doing so outside of normal working hours. Active construction sites can be dangerous places. There are many challenges to the construction industry these days, making it difficult to predict when we can move in. Optimistically I've been told it should be ready in July or early August. I'm keeping my fingers crossed!
From my experience building houses for Habitat, the exterior walls and roof go up quickly, but there is a long way to go to finish a house. Hope you can move in sometime in July.
ReplyDeleteThank you for the encouragement. We're hoping to be in the house in July as well. Next milestone is the inspection of the mechanicals before the drywall is installed.
