Charlotte, NC 2022
Truist Field in "Uptown" Charlotte is the home of the Charlotte Knights, an AAA affiliate of the Chicago White Sox. This weekend the ballpark hosted the Atlantic Coast Conference Baseball Tournament. This shot was taken just before the start of the semi-final game between North Carolina and Notre Dame. The Irish had a great season and for the first time in their history made it to the semi-finals. Unfortunately the came up short to a great North Carolina team, losing 7-2. The Tar Heels won the championship the next day.
Watching a baseball game can be great fun. I always enjoyed going to Chicago Cubs games at Wrigley Field. I imagine most locals were at the Coke Cola 600 race in Charlotte, a high speed demolition derby.
