Railroad Car
Fort Mill, SC 2024
I visited Fort Mill, SC a little over a year ago and posted some pictures at that time. I recently returned to look for additional photos. The subjects might be repeated, but perhaps the composition, exposure etc are a little different this time.

Street Art??
Monroe, NC 2024
I found this interesting work in downtown Monroe. I guess it's perfectly normal in front of a hemp store.

Grain Bins
Waxhaw, NC 2024
I saw these grain bins and thought of fellow blogger/photographer "Taken for Granted" who has published many rural scenes like this. You can check out his fine blog here.

Kinetic Art
Monroe, NC 2024
I'm not really sure I titled this art work correctly. I've seen similar art works on a much smaller scale using small pins to capture impressions. In any event, I left a not so flattering impression that will remain until someone else comes along.

Historic County Jail
Lancaster, SC 2024
Now that looks like a county jail! It was built in 1823 by Willis W. Alsobrook, "agreeable to the plans and specifications signed by Robert Mills." It became the county jail in 1868.

Confederate Monument
Lancaster, SC 2024
Monuments such as this are being removed across the south, so when I come across one, I try to photograph it.
Historic Courthouse
Lancaster, SC 2024
This courthouse for Lancaster County, SC was built between 1825 and 1828. It was designed by the first native born, professionally trained architect Robert Mills. Mills is perhaps more known for his design of the Washington Monument.
